AI Will Change Safety Rules

No doubt everyone has dabbled around with AI, some headfirst. While I’m more interested in how it can apply to my work, saving me time or headaches, my husband takes a friendlier approach. This morning, he brought to my attention a feature I hadn’t thought to use – searching for a new home. In minutes, I was brought 3 fully qualified properties to my long list of requirements. This has literally saved me hours by cross referencing and filtering in ways that many of the websites don’t allow.

As the conversation continued, it also suggested other details on the properties we hadn’t considered – like elevation and flood regions. After getting live links to these listings, my husband told me about other things he has found AI valuable for such as reminders, health suggestions, and chatting while driving alone.

The last one made me pause, as so many companies currently require lock boxes and/or cell suppression devices for work vehicles. I believe AI will quickly change that, and many will move to requiring an AI app to be in use during drive time – to monitor alertness, among other things. It will become a constant companion, helping to ensure no turn is missed, no speed limit is unknown, and will calculate schedule times all while the driver is uninterrupted. It could also integrate with onboard cameras to help avoid impacts.

AI will soon only be limited by the imagination of the user. We have reached the Star Trek age of technology. The possibilities are truly amazing, and this is just the beginning. The future is here.
