Theoretical vs. Practical

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there IS! I am often asked which books and articles I based my writing on. The answer is that I did not base it on anyone else's writing. I based it on my experience with my clients and their real issues with which we are dealing.

This is not to belittle theoretical and staged research. I find great value in such work. I simply am careful to put it in its theoretical perspective and not naively assume it will work in the real world. Theoretical vs. Practical Rather, I try to glean new ideas and approaches from the theories and combine them with my own decades of experiencing what works and what does not, and try innovating new ways to solve problems and explore opportunities. The difference between pure science and technology is a real one and should be considered carefully when selecting the path forward and the guide to use on that path.
