My 14-year-old had a collision with an SUV this past weekend. It happened as we were crossing the street under the permission of the pedestrian crossing sign and after of course looking in all directions. A driver turned right at the light, directly in front of us making contact with my daughter's bicycle, thankfully, only resulting in a bent front wheel but also scratching the side of the SUV. Had we not waited the two seconds after the light had changed, it could have been much worse. The driver was very apologetic saying, "I just turned when I saw it was green." Also, "I didn't see y'all." Cycling has increased with most of us self-isolated. Drivers be aware of this, especially when turning at intersections.
