Lessons from History

Historians have justified the study of history by saying "If you don't learn the lessons from mistakes in history, you are doomed to repeat them." We are now trying to determine where COVID-19 originated and how it spread. The goal is to prevent another pandemic. However, we have also learned lessons about how to handle a pandemic and how it will affect our daily lives.

Has your organization captured the lessons you learned? Have you examined what practices will be permanently changed and which can go back to their previous state? Lessons from History Are you prepared to better handle an emergency than you were before COVID? We do not know if we will have another such event in our lifetimes, but we know we have had them in the past. Make time in the near future to challenge everyone in your organization to list lessons learned and practices changed and use that information to prepare for the "new normal" and be even better prepared for the next "abnormal."
