When I was in the Army, during training and exercises there was a command to "Drink water!" In some missions requiring difficult and necessary hyperfocus, this was, in hindsight, a welcome reminder. One of my teenage daughters was in the emergency room at Texas Children's a few weekends ago. She was battling a type of flu (despite all possible tests and panels, we never found out what it was) and had a resting heart rate of 160.
The cardiologist interpreted additional tests and came to the conclusion that on top of fighting a type of flu, she was dehydrated. Unbeknownst to me, she wasn't drinking enough water. The previous week, my son-in-law in Myrtle Beach was rushed to the hospital from his job due to a heat stroke; he was dehydrated. What things do you do to ensure your family and followers stay hydrated? If it can happen to the family of a safety expert, it can happen to anyone.

"I believe that water is the only drink for a wise man." — Henry David Thoreau
"Thousands have lived without love, not one without water." — W. H. Auden
